Ilyaz (also known as Mohamed Gaffoor) was born in the United Kingdom and grew up in Boonton, New Jersey. He is currently doing his fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at University of Maryland. Ilyaz completed his residency in Pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson in New Jersey and is an alumni of University of North Carolina. He loves digital photography, editing images in Photoshop, watching movies, listening to rock music, and playing with technical gadgets.

Sharmin was born in Pontiac, Michigan and grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts. She is currently working on her doctorate in Instructional Technology and Media at Teacher's College, Columbia University in New York. (Instructional Technology involves the design of different kinds of technology to help people learn.) She completed her master's degree in Mathematics Education at New York University and is an alumni of University of Pennsylvania. Sharmin is a techie girl (hence, her interest in Instructional Technology) who loves web designing, digital photography, and watching Indian movies.
